Yoga, Religion and Demonism – The Concept
Yoga
Yes, Yoga originated from Hinduism and Buddhism. Yes, Yoga comes from pagan origins, but you’re not worshiping anything when you practice – I can say for myself. I am only stretching, breathing, and strengthening my body, which doesn’t sound “evil, sinful and demonic “to me. There is no need to be of a specific religion or culture to practice Yoga. However, Yoga can be a way for you to grow spiritually and to draw closer to any higher power or supreme being you worship. The religious controversies, especially with Yoga and Christianity, stem from the fact that Yoga alters your perspectives on life β an evolution in perceived purpose and values that leads to profound changes. Yoga helps you strip away the layers that separate you from your true nature, revealing a new sense of your place in the world, which I call “being Zen”.
Are you holding back on practicing Yoga because you think it’s a religion, occult or a demonic exercise? No matter your religious beliefs, it is judgemental to believe that others’ religions are demonic. From what are you deducing this analysis?
Are you bothered about how people would perceive you because you practice Yoga? Look Up Stuff! Find your Truth. Do not take others’ statements at face value without thorough research.
Don’t be scared/intimidated to try new things. Do not, however, follow blindly because humans are fallible. If you’re not confident enough to stand out in the crowd, avoid the crowd altogether.
Some people have strengthened their relationships with God through Yoga, people have been relieved of physical pain through Yoga, and others are mentally free through the same Yoga.
Through Yoga, you learn to be a better person, a balanced and mindful individual and to be at peace with your environment and self.
Yoga teaches Love and Unity. Which religion doesn’t? How is bringing people together, preaching and showing Love sinful?
Yoga is Not a Religion! Meditation is not the same as Chanting! It is another form of exercise; I call it therapy. Understand your purpose for engaging in a particular activity before you do. For instance, don’t go to the gym because you saw someone’s insta story or snap; it looked nice and fun, so why not? I’m not saying donβt exercise; you should but know the purpose of your every activity.
In all, you have free will (even though I think there’s no free will, but who cares about my thoughts anyways) and the choice to do whatever. If you feel you’re not at peace doing Yoga and God isn’t happy with you for doing this, don’t!
But don’t bash people who do, don’t judge them because God doesn’t judge you so don’t be toxic.
Also, if you have decided to do Yoga to improve your health and well-being, ignore people who are apprehensive about the subject and who denigrate Yoga as what you know it’s not.
Before I conclude, did you know that African Culture originated from the African Traditional Religion, and they probably / most likely poured libation when you were being named? Are you a traditionalist? Do you believe and celebrate African festivals? Do you know the significance? Does that make you a traditionalist?
Remain free now and forever. Serve your God wholeheartedly, and don’t judge others. Be at peace with yourself and let not others define you!

And remember, you can never be free until you find the need not to impress people .

Another good one!
The African Tradition and Religion point makes perfect sense.
Thank you Mina π€. Yes and to think our culture is deeply rooted in the African traditional religion is interesting. Iβm glad you enjoyed this post and Iβm looking forward to sharing more with you.
Great piece. This exposed me to another side of Yoga I had no idea about.
Thank you Tony π€. Iβm glad it did and hopefully you give it a try soon.
