About Awo
Awo is a Ghanaian yoga instructor, wellness guide, and creative rooted in intentional living. She teaches Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin yoga with a signature blend of softness, strength, and soul – inviting students to breathe deeper, move mindfully, and reconnect with themselves. She also introduced the unique blend of yoga and mat-pilates fusion, which she terms “Yogalates” (you want to experience this!).
Her classes are grounding, meditative, and deeply intuitive, shaped by her own journey of discipline, healing, and balance. As the founder of AwoYoga, she creates safe, warm, and spiritually-conscious spaces for people to explore movement, stillness, and self-awareness – both on and off the mat.
She is also the founder of AwoYoga – The Store (AYS) where she makes wellness products accessible to all, including the unique Adinkra Yoga mats with African and Ghanaian inspired spiritual symbols. Feel free to shop a thing or 2 from the shop while you are here!
Whether she’s leading a slow, immersive flow or holding space in a meditation circle, Awo’s mission is simple:
“To help others return home to themselves”.
